Hilton Head Island, SC (June 30, 2017) – The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa recently hosted a star-studded unveiling ofThe Grand Ocean Terrace; a new all-glass oceanfront event venue on June 27th, 2017.
The final piece of the resort’s $40 million renovation, this stunning event venue sets a new standard for beachfront weddings as the largest enclosed oceanfront event venue along the Carolina & Georgia coast.
Perfect for memorable weddings for up to 220 guests, The Grand Ocean Terrace enjoys unobstructed ocean views elevated above thebeach dunes with over 5,000 square feet of space. Glass walls slide open and disappear into a full-length covered balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, while the interior boasts a chic coastal design and the option of all-season climate comfort.
The resort hosted a joyous Gala Unveiling for dozens of high-profile wedding editors, leading industry bloggers, wedding professionals and area dignitaries. Tuesday’s events included a kick-off cocktail reception on the picturesque Oceanfront Deck, followed by the official ribbon cutting and Celebration Gala inside the Grand Ocean Terrace. In addition to property ownership, notable attendees included Senator Tom Davis, Congressman Jeffrey Bradley, Hilton Head Mayor David Bennett and Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Bill Miles.

The Grand Ocean Terrace was created by the combined efforts of three Lowcountry firms: Sklar Design, Kelly Caron Designs and Coastline Construction Services, LLC. The Gala Unveiling event reflected the fabulous design of Spencer Special Events. Performances by the Voices of El Shaddai and live remote broadcasts by W.B. of Atlanta’s 94.9 The Bull and Wedding Market added to the festive event.
