Bridal Show Tips for Brides and Couples By Julie Albaugh

Plan a strategy before attending a bridal show to prevent becoming overwhelmed. A big bridal event
includes a fashion show while the small boutique show attracts smaller crowds choose one that appeals
to your needs. If you have booked a venue for your wedding or reception you might ask if they will
be hosting something. These events usually include wedding professionals who are familiar with the
facilities, and they know the resources available, the rules and the setup required.

Wedding professionals often provide discounted or free tickets to bridal shows where they plan to
participate, and many bridal shows have prizes that you sign up to win. As you prepare, set up an email
account strictly for wedding planning to avoid becoming overwhelmed with the number of emails you
receive. To free your hands, create and print labels that include: Bride’s Name, Fiance’s Name, Address,
Phone, Email, Wedding Date and Wedding Venue. Identify and list each of the wedding services you
want to include and determine how much you want to spend for each item before you go to the show.

When you find a wedding pro or service that interests you highlight their business card or brochure
before leaving so you don’t forget who they are. Wedding pros are always open to making
appointments at the show, and sometimes wedding pros offer discounts for booking a service at
the event. Wear comfortable shoes and know that you will receive lots of literature, magazines and
brochures from the event so keep your hands free. Enjoy planning your special day!
